Work Experience
Most recently, I am additionally affiliated at the Munich Center of Machine Learning (MCML), and The Institute for Medical Information Processing, Biometry, and Epidemiology (IBE).
In this role my responsibilities included consulting students and scientists from other fields on their research and participating in ongoing research projects as well as teaching classes for courses offered by the Department of Statistics at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.
My responsibilities consisted of database management and data analysis for several ongoing studies, as well as editing data for visual presentation.
Since this course was the first of its kind at our faculty, I had the opportunity to be a student as well as a teaching assistant, given my prior experiences with the programming language R. As part of the course, I developed an R-package in cooperation with a fellow TA and supervised similar projects of half of the other student groups.
In this role I was responsible for grading the weekly assignments of students taking the class as well as reviewing the subject matter in independently prepared lessons twice a week.
During this time I had the great opportunity to assist professor Aaron Smith in his research on Maximal Markovian Couplings, specifically on graphs. Computation of the latter was done in R, allowing me to gain deeper knowledge of the Programming language.
